Welcome Twinny !

Welcome to Voiron (France) in Sainte Marie 's school ! We're working hard to introduce ourselves very soon !

Twinny in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and in Paris

As you know, Twinny is now a great friend of us in France. So after being with us in February and March he accepted to come back at the end of the school year. Now we are much more relaxed and we were able to take him around the town where we study and to Paris. Do you want to see what we have shown him? 

Como sabem o Twinny já é um velho amigo para todos nós aqui em França. Depois de cá ter estado em fevereiro-março, aceitou regressar neste final de ano. Agora já estamos mais calmos e temos mais tempo. Levámo-lo a conhecer Saint-Germain-en-Laye, onde estudamos, e Paris. Querem ver o que lhe mostrámos? 

Bonjour tout le monde, Comme vous n'êtes pas sans le savoir Twinny est déjà un grand ami. Après son passage en février-mars, il a accepté de revenir à la fin de notre année scolaire. On a maintenant plus de temps, on est plus calmes et on a pu l'emmener en visite dans Saint-Germain-en-Laye, où nous étudions, et à Paris. Voulez-vous voir ce qu'on a pu lui montrer ?

Twinny in Rio de Janeiro

As we have already told you, we study Portuguese in France and a pupil of our group went to Brazil where people speak our language. Livia, the pupil who was lucky to go to Rio, took Twinny with her and discovered the city with him. This week she explained her trip in classroom and we have prepared this little video to show you all everything Twinny could see. By the way, we must tell you that Twinny is now fluent in Portuguese!!!

Twinny in Rome with portuguese students from France!

Hi to you all. In our portuguese classroom we have studied a portuguese novel which takes place in Rome. One of the students went to Rome and took Twinny with her. With Twinny she visited Rome and discovered that city after having read the story of Mafalda Moutinho. In classroom, the student explained to her classmates how Rome was and Twinny helped her a lot. Then we have joined references of the book to the photos the student took. Do you want to see our work? We are happy to share it with all of you:

Carnaval/Carnival with Twinny

Une récré c'est un endroit où on se délasse les jambes et où on joue avec ses copains et ses copines.

During playtime, we relax and play with our friends.

Notre village s'appelle Miribel les échelles. Il y a rarement de vols donc il est tranquille. L'endroit que je préfère est la salle des fêtes parce qu'on y fait des fêtes.

My favourite place is the village hall because I’m found of celebrations.

Notre école est très belle. A côté, il y a une cantine pour manger à midi. On a aussi a une salle où il y a une photocopieuse. Dans cette salle, Marie-Claire aide les enfants à mieux travailler.  Les maîtresses nous apprennent beaucoup de choses. On a de l'aide personnalisée et on fait des évaluations.Il y a aussi des récréations.

Our school is really beautyful. Nearby, stands a dining hall for lunch. Marie-Claire helps children to work better. Teachers teach us a lot of things. We get personnal help times and exams. There are also playtimes.

Pendant la récré, on joue aux toupies, au "loup glacé", à "garçons attrapent filles" et "filles attrapent garçons", à "loup touche touche", aux "quatre coins", à "chat perché"...

During playtime, we play with tops, we play games as « frozen wolf », « boys catch girls” and “girls catch boys”, “ four corners”, “perched cat”…

Dans notre classe, il y a un tableau qui se ferme et qui s'ouvre. On l'ouvre quand toute la classe travaille ensemble et on le ferme pour ouvrir la porte.

In our classroom, there is a board you can close or open. 

We open it when all pupils work together and we close it when we need to open the door.

 Le blog est bien parce qu'on fait des jeux qui sont des exercices. La maîtresse met des exercices. Sur le blog, on peut proposer des défis et faire des commentaires.

Our blog is nice because we can do a lot of games. Our teacher link practical exercises. 

We can propose challenges and post comments ?

 Notre blog est pratique. Il y a du calcul, de l'orthographe, de la conjugaison. Bref, il y a plein de choses. Et puis aussi il est bien parce que j'aime y faire des jeux.

Our blog is practical. There are arithmetic, spelling… In short, there are a lot of things. 

 It’s nice also because I like to play.

 Dans mon village, il y a une salle des fêtes. Moi, j'aime bien mon village.

In my village, there is a village hall. I like it very much.

 Comme notre blog est bien ! Quand il y a des évaluations, on y va pour s'entraîner.

How I like our blog ! When we have some exams, we can revise our lessons on it.

 Dans l'école, il y a quatre classes, une cour avec un bac à sable. 

L'école commence à 8h30 et se termine à 16h30. On doit être à l'heure surtout quand on fait des sorties. 

Le vendredi, il y a des ateliers d'art plastique de musique et d'informatique.

In our school, there are four classrooms, a schoolyard with a sandpit. 

Schoolday starts at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 4:30 P.M. 

We have to be on time particularly when we go on a school outing. 

On Friday, we study plastic arts, music and computing.

Notre blog parle de plein de choses : de numération, de calcul, de français etc... On peut s'entraîner à beaucoup de choses comme les tables de multiplication...

Our blog is talking about many topics : math numeration, arithmetic, french language… 

We can prepare ourselves for many things as multiplications.

Dans notre école, il y a une cuisine où on laisse les gâteaux d'anniversaire. On fait parfois des sorties de ski et de cinéma. Nous avons aussi travaillé sur Louis XIV.

Dans la classe, chaque élève a une responsabilité : allumer la lumière, arroser les plantes, facteur...

In our school, there is a kitchen where we put birthday cakes. 

Sometimes, we go on ski trips or to the cinema. Nous worked about Louis XIV’s king. 

In on classroom, each pupil have a responsibility : 

for instance put on the light, watering plants, to be postman…

We received a letter from Twinny !

Twinny has arrived in France (and also in Portugal)

Hi! Twinny arrived today at the Portuguese Section of Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. We are glad to show him our school, the town where our school is and, above all, to take him with us on holiday to our home country, that is Portugal. Don't be surprised with our work, because we live in France, but we study in French and in Portuguese, and since we are receiving Twinny with our Portuguese Teacher we have to take Twinny to... Portugal! Hope you don't mind! Nice to meet you!

Bonjour ! Twinny est arrivé aujourd'hui dans la Section Portugaise du Lycée international de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Nous sommes heureux de lui montrer notre école, la ville où se trouve notre école et, surtout, de l'emmener avec nous en vacances dans notre pays d'origine, c'est-à-dire, le Portugal. Ne soyez pas surpris avec notre travail, parce qu'on vit en France, mais  nous étudions en français et en portugais, et comme nous sommes en train de recevoir Twinny avec notre professeur de Portugais, il faut qu'on emmène Twinny au... Portugal! Nous espérons que cela ne vous dérange pas trop! C'est un grand plaisir de faire votre connaissance!

Olá a todos! O Twinny chegou hoje à Secção Portuguesa do Liceu Internacional de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Estamos contentíssimos por lhe podermos mostrar a nossa escola, a cidade onde estudamos e, sobretudo, de o levar de férias conosco para o nosso país de origem, Portugal. Não fiquem surpreendidos com o nosso trabalho, porque vivemos em França, mas estudamos em francês e em português, e como estamos a receber o Twinny com a nossa professora de Português, temos de levar o Twinny a... Portugal! Esperamos que isso não vos incomode muito! Estamos encantados de vos conhecer!
